John Lennon's Mansion in Weybridge, Surrey in the United Kingdom has been put on the market for £15 million, which translates to about $23,500,000.

The legendary Beatle bought the house for a mere £20,000 on July 15 1964, where he lived with his first wife, Cynthia Powell. Lennon is believed to have written a number of tracks for The Beatles' 1967 album 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' there, the BBC reports. Lennon left the mansion in 1969 after he married Yoko Ono and moved to New York.

The property is described by estate agent Knight Frank as:

...luxuriously finished family home, formerly owned by John Lennon, set in about 1.5 acres of exquisite gardens within the renowned St. George's Hill Estate.

The mansion also contains a study and an attic, where Lennon installed the majority of his musical equipment.
